LUMIO STREAM / ADMINISTRATION
People, access & sessions
Create accounts, limit libraries and revoke one device.
Add or edit an account#
- Sign into native Administration as an administrator and open People & access.
- Add a person, or open an existing account.
- Enter Username and a password of at least eight characters. Confirm the password. For an existing account, leave New password empty to preserve it.
- Choose an avatar and the intended role, sign-in status, library access and rating limit.
- Select Save account, then check the account's Media Center access.
Show passwords affects display only. Do not capture or share that state. The form prevents changing your own administrator/disabled flags in ways that would lock you out.
Access controls#
| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Administrator access | Grants administrator capabilities; use only for people managing the server. Native management still requires the native control boundary. |
| Disable sign-in for this account | Blocks account use without deleting the account. |
| Access to all current and future libraries | Broad access, including libraries added later. When off, only checked library IDs are allowed; none means no media access. |
| Maximum content rating | No restriction, G/general, PG, PG-13, TV-14 or R/mature as offered. This is the engine's rating filter, not a complete parental-control system. |
| Avatar | Choose a built-in character; it changes presentation rather than identity or permissions. |
The account-save path prevents source-media deletion permission and does not enable a separate direct engine remote-access feature. Lumio's HTTPS gateway controls its own remote sessions. These settings do not expose a direct engine port.
Disconnect a session#
- Open the Connected sessions section on Overview.
- Use Refresh connected sessions if needed; the list also updates periodically.
- Select the disconnect action for the intended device.
- Confirm Disconnect this session?. That session is signed out and its stream is revoked; other devices remain signed in.
If it reconnects, check whether another session/device entry exists. Do not disable the whole account when only one device should leave. Password recovery needs an existing administrator; a public self-service email reset or Google OAuth enrollment is not implemented.
