LUMIO STREAM / MEDIA CENTER
Sign in & your account
Use the right endpoint and keep sessions separate.
- Open the Media Center address given by your server administrator. The local loopback address works only on the server Mac; another device needs its configured HTTPS address.
- Enter your existing Lumio username and password, then use the sign-in control.
- Your sidebar shows only permitted libraries, with your avatar and personal-space account control.
The product does not create a new account merely because you open the page. An administrator creates accounts through People & access. A password manager or passkey unlocking a saved password is a browser feature; it is not evidence that Lumio implements Google OAuth or a public signup service.
Sign out and revoked sessions#
Use Sign out in the account/sidebar controls. The gateway clears the current session. A targeted administrator disconnect signs out the selected device; it does not necessarily sign out every device owned by that person. A background-service restart can require signing in again.
Access problems#
An enabled account may still have no selected libraries. A disabled account cannot sign in. Check the exact hostname, account spelling, server status and permitted libraries with an administrator. Do not send your password or session cookie for support.
If the app shell looks outdated, use its update prompt or the account screen's supported cached-app reset option. Confirm the reset dialog: it clears local app shell/cache/queue/preferences on that device, not the server's library. Avoid clearing unrelated browser data or another server's profile.
