LUMIO STREAM / MEDIA CENTER

Search, filters & navigation

Find media and keep player navigation predictable.

Search your library#

Use Search your library in the top bar or ⌘ K where supported. Search terms are scoped to your permitted media. Results are grouped by their actual media category. Open a title, album, artist or series from its result; show-more/page controls retrieve additional indexed results instead of loading media payloads into memory.

A trailing year can help distinguish a movie title. Searching the Media Center is different from Metadata studio → Search providers: the former searches your indexed collection, while the latter queries configured external metadata services.

Filter and sort#

Open a library's Filters control. Watched state offers All titles, Unwatched, Watched or In progress; genre selection starts at Every genre, and the available year field narrows releases. Use Sort titles or the current library's sort selector to change ordering. Previous and Next page buttons navigate the paginated results; an unavailable boundary button is disabled. Clear a filter or search term to return to the broader collection.

Back and Forward#

Use the app's Go back/Go forward controls or browser navigation. Expanded music adds a temporary history layer: the first Back collapses the player to its underlying route while the same audio session continues. The visible collapse control follows that behavior. Further navigation then changes the browsing route.

Do not use Back as a stop button. Use the player's stop/close action when you intend to end playback. Browser shortcuts generally yield to text inputs and interactive form controls so a typed letter does not accidentally seek or mute.
