LUMIO STREAM / REFERENCE
Troubleshooting by symptom
Locate the failing layer before making changes.
Server does not open#
Check that the installed build matches your Mac architecture/OS and is in Applications. A fixed-port conflict is reported; do not start competing servers. Reopen Administration and inspect startup logs. Preserve an unreadable profile before attempting recovery.
Library empty or a drive missing#
Check the person's selected libraries in People & access, then the server's actual mounted paths and folder permissions. Inspect scan task state, not just the index count. Reconnect a drive and run a targeted scan. Do not create the illustrative folder names from a guide on your real disk.
“Playback could not continue” or no playable stream#
The file may be unavailable, incompatible with the browser or disallowed by playback policy. Check the drive, player source/track selection and diagnostics. Try Restart in compatibility mode for video and inspect transcode logs. A raw original-file preview is not equivalent to the compatibility player.
“Your progress could not be saved”#
Check the gateway/session connection and server logs. A saved queue in browser storage is not a replacement for server-side history. For music, progress below 90% is resumable; at 90% it is intentionally removed. An old position already discarded by a previous engine cannot be recreated.
Music card does not disappear immediately#
The row changes when the server receives a progress/pause/stop report. Regular progress reports are periodic, not every visual timeline tick. Check the active connection; then navigate Home/refresh if a stale client remains. A later partial replay is a new resumable listen, even for a song completed earlier.
Public URL fails but local works#
Read Connections stages. DNS can select a stale tunnel even while another connector is healthy. Match the exact DNS-selected tunnel ID, ingress hostname and local HTTP service. Cloudflare 1033 is not a successful application response. Do not disable TLS, authentication or Host checks to conceal a routing error.
Signed out or no library access#
An administrator may have disconnected the device or changed permissions; a service restart may require sign-in. Use the intended endpoint/account. An account with no selected folders has no media access. Ask an administrator; do not share a cookie, token or password.
Safe support information#
Provide app version, platform, time, the actual stage/error code and a small redacted log excerpt. Review diagnostic exports for personal paths/names first. Never upload your entire live profile or a screenshot showing tokens. See logs.
