Your preferences & shortcuts

Open preferences#

Use Settings or the profile/preferences control in the Media Center. These are personal options; the native administrator's engine/network panels are different.

Control	Options / purpose	Apply and confirm
Your character	Built-in fox, cat, owl, bear, rabbit, panda, otter, penguin avatars	Choose, then Save avatar.
Preferred audio language	Original, English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese	Save preferences; negotiation uses the preference on a new stream.
Preferred subtitle language	Server default or the offered language options	Save and start a suitable stream. Off during a current stream is a player control.
Streaming quality	Original / automatic, 20 Mbps, 8 Mbps, 4 Mbps or 1.5 Mbps	Save; it changes the client preference, not the source media.
Play the next episode automatically	On/off	Save; final-ten-second continuation requires a next video.
Current / New password	Existing password plus a new password of at least eight characters	Change password; verify the next sign-in. Never share password fields in screenshots.

Language choices do not create tracks that a file does not have. A high quality selection cannot fix insufficient upload bandwidth or a disconnected drive.

Keyboard shortcuts#

⌘ K opens library search. Space toggles playback. ← / → seek ten seconds. Esc collapses the player or dismisses the active player popover. F requests video full screen and M toggles mute. Text fields and interactive form controls take precedence so typing does not unexpectedly operate the player.

Device installation#

Lumio on this device → Install Lumio Stream uses the browser's install prompt when available, otherwise it opens platform-specific instructions. See mobile and PWA. An instruction dialog or requested status is not proof that the browser completed installation.
