LUMIO STREAM / MEDIA CENTER

Libraries & directory

Browse by logical library or original folder structure.

Library navigation#

The sidebar lists the exact library labels configured by the administrator. Choose a library to see its catalog. Cards open item details; album/artist/series pages lead to their contents rather than pretending every folder is a playable file.

Use the available Filters, sort selector and page controls to narrow results. Depending on media type, the implemented sort choices include title A–Z, recently added, release date, highest rated and runtime. Available filters and views depend on the current media type; a music library does not acquire a video-only control merely because it is mentioned elsewhere.

Directory and preserved folders#

Directory lists connected source roots with availability. A root means a folder on the server Mac or a mounted drive, not a folder on the browser device. Open a root, then nested folders, to browse files in their original organization.

Libraries configured with Preserve original folder structure use folder-oriented browsing. Folder containers, breadcrumbs/back controls and indexed media entries keep the source context; source media is not renamed or moved. A filesystem folder may contain several distinct series rather than being a single show.

Artwork and disc treatment#

Existing posters, album covers and artist artwork remain meaningful media artwork. Where the UI uses a decorative music-disc fallback, it now uses the same branded Lumio disc as the player. Static cards do not imply an active playback session.

Empty or unavailable sources#

An account without library permissions sees an empty collection. A disconnected root shows unavailable rather than requesting access to local folders on your phone. Ask the administrator to reconnect the server drive and scan. See library management for the distinction between removing an index and deleting original files.
