LUMIO STREAM / MEDIA CENTER
Video, TV & player controls
Play movies and episodes, choose tracks and continue to the next episode.
Start playback#
Open a movie or episode detail page, review its title/year/runtime, then press Play/Watch or the applicable resume control. Series pages expose seasons and episodes; play an individual episode or the available ordered episode group. Your permission and file availability are checked when opening the stream.
Controls#
| Control | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Play / Pause | Toggles the same active stream. Space is the keyboard equivalent outside form controls. |
| Timeline / time display | Seeks within the known duration. Left/right arrows seek ten seconds. |
| Back/forward seek buttons | Jump by the displayed increment; they do not select a different episode. |
| Volume / Mute | Changes player volume or toggles mute; M is the keyboard shortcut. |
| Expand / collapse | Moves between the full player and the floating video player. |
| Full screen | Uses the browser fullscreen capability; F is the shortcut. Availability depends on the browser. |
| Picture in picture | Requests browser/system PiP where supported; this is distinct from Lumio's floating player. |
| Episodes | Opens the available season/episode navigator. |
| Next preview | Shows the next video's available information; hovering/focus previews can be dismissed with Escape. |
| Info / diagnostics | Shows actual method, source/stream and startup information; it does not change encoding. |
| Close / stop | Ends playback rather than merely hiding the full view. |
Settings and compatibility#
The player settings expose available Quality, Audio track, Subtitles, Playback speed (0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2×), Chapter when present and Restart in compatibility mode. Track options come from the current source. Off disables subtitles; sidecar/embedded/forced/SDH labels reflect supplied metadata. Some subtitle formats require server rendering and a stream restart.
Next episode card#
When autoplay is enabled and a next episode/queue entry exists, the final ten seconds show a bottom-right continuing card with artwork, episode name and countdown. Select Play now to advance immediately, or let the current item finish. Dismissing/cancelling the card suppresses that automatic transition for the current item. It is absent when there is no valid next item, autoplay is off or the current item is not a video.
Touch and mini-player#
A single video-surface tap toggles playback after the gesture window; double-tapping a side seeks, and a center double-tap toggles playback. Controls/popovers consume their own touches. The floating video player can return to the full player without creating a second stream. Capability and layout depend on the browser/device; a native Windows server port is not implied.
